Deloris Rhodes currently serves on the Board of Trustees for Cape Fear Community College. She has 35+ years as an educator, guidance counselor, principal and assistant superintendent in NC, VA, MA, CA, IL, the University of Maryland and Dept. of Defense schools overseas. She was an outreach liaison for UNCW’s Watson College of Education (2007-2014) and is a founding member of the Girls Leadership Academy of Wilmington (GLOW) and UNCW’s Dropout Prevention Coalition; a member of the Governor’s Task Force for Safer Schools and local boards for the New Hanover County Arts Council, Community Boys and Girls Club, Habitat for Humanity, Landfall Foundation, Cape Fear Literacy Council, New Hanover Library and Bellamy Mansion.
